The “Arche Musica” project received the Bavarian State Foundation’s Culture Award on November 12, 2025.
“Bavaria is characterized by solidarity, humanity, and cultural and social commitment. With the Bavarian State Foundation’s Culture, Social, and Environment Awards, we are today honoring people who have made remarkable contributions to our society. The award winners are both beacons of hope and role models who significantly shape and influence our community,” said Finance and Home Affairs Minister Albert Füracker at the presentation of the Bavarian State Foundation’s 2025 Culture, Social and Environmental Awards on Wednesday (November 12) in Munich.
Culture Award: Project 2025 – Arche Musica
Jury: Project 2025 – Arche Musica by the Association for the Establishment of the Schloss Wernsdorf Cultural Foundation (Strullendorf in the district of Bamberg, Upper Franconia) is a unique German-Israeli research and education project with the aim of building a digital archive for the preservation of Jewish musical culture. For example, events are held, also in cooperation with local project partners in Israel, focusing on regional Jewish heritage and Jewish culture. The project thus makes an important contribution to the transmission of values and knowledge in times of rising anti-semitism.
