This piece, written by the cantor-composer Louis Lewandowsky for a four-voice choir, was published in volume two of his Todah W'simrah (Berlin 1876: p. 227.) Psalm 150, beginning with "Halleluya!" [Praise God!], is sung on the Sabbath and festivals. It is one of Lewandowsky’s best-known works, performed in synagogues as well as by various professional and non-professional choirs.
