Shir 'arev” depicts the end of a summer day. The sun is setting, sea winds cool the fields, shadows cover the valley and the branches of an oak tree whisper secrets.

Idelsohn (Ben-Yehuda) composed a modal melody in 6/8, "painting" the movements of the wind.
